Developmental Educator
Annie brings a warm, thoughtful, and compassionate approach to supporting individuals and families. As an accredited Developmental Educator, holding a Master of Autism and Neurodivergent Studies, Annie brings a strong foundation of specialised knowledge to her work. With a background in primary school teaching and disability support, she has a deep understanding of education, development, behaviour, and everyday life across home, school, and community contexts.
Annie supports lifelong learning and works with individuals across the lifespan, from early childhood through adolescence and adulthood. Her practice is grounded in neuroaffirming, rights-based principles and guided by a holistic biopsychosocial framework. She draws on current research, professional standards, and lived experience to inform ethical, person-centred support.
Annie takes a reflective, inquiry-led approach, seeking to understand each person within their unique context and remaining open, reflective, and responsive as needs and priorities evolve. She works collaboratively with individuals and families to build confidence, connection, belonging, wellbeing, and meaningful participation. Working alongside individuals and families to ensure people are active participants in their supports, supporting autonomy, voice, and self-determination in ways that are respectful, empowering, and meaningful. Annie is committed to creating spaces where people feel safe, understood, and supported to grow in their own time and in their own way.
Outside of her professional work, Annie enjoys spending time with her family, walking in nature, and slowing down in ways that nurture her own wellbeing.
